BURGLARY SUSPECT: FOUND IN 60 SECONDS
RiponCA: On 05-10-2013, at approximately 1130 hours, The Ripon Police Department received a report of a theft that just occurred at All About The Girls, a local women’s clothing store. The female suspect reportedly stole lingerie worth over $200 and fled the area. Ripon dispatchers immediately broadcast a description of the suspect to patrol units. Within 1 minute of the call being dispatched, officer Kyle Gomes contacted a subject matching the description provided to the department. The subject admitted she was responsible for the theft. Property belonging to the victim-business was located in the suspect’s possession. Additional property that was reportedly stolen from Devine Décor, a second local business, was located in the suspect’s possession.
The suspect, Chandra Anne Ashlock (28) of Ripon, was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on felony burglary charges.
Ripon Police Department First Sergeant Steve Merchant said the cooperative relationship that exists between local business and the police department were the keys to the swift resolution of these cases.
