Ripon Ca. – Ripon police officers are looking for three suspects who were involved in a takeover-style bank robbery in Ripon late this morning. The robbery occurred at the Bank of The West at 411 W. Main St. at about 11:30 a.m. Three suspects entered the bank and ordered employees and customers to the ground. They left with an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspects were reportedly driving a dark colored SUV.  The suspects were wearing masks and hooded sweat shirts during the robbery.  The first Ripon officers arrived on scene within 1 minute of receiving the call.   The suspects fled the area prior to the officers’ arrival.
Department spokesperson, First Sergeant Steve Merchant said Ripon citizens have been providing valuable information to detectives about this crime.  Merchant said anyone with information about the robbery is being asked to call the Ripon Information Tip line @ 209-599-RTIP (7847) or contact Detective Terri Jensen @ 209-599-0261.
