Pursuit Suspect Detained After Crash 

Ripon, CA– On 10-08-14, at approximately 1157 pm, Ripon officers were engaged in a pursuit involving a driver displaying a wanton disregard for the safety of the motoring public.

The pursuit began near the intersection of Jack Tone Rd./W. Santos Ave. The suspect traveled east on highway 120. As the suspect entered the City of Escalon, he lost control of the vehicle and it crashed into a brick pillar. No other vehicles were involved in this collision. Ripon Police and Escalon Police officers immediately detained the felony suspect.

The suspect was found to be a 19 year old Ripon resident. Due to injuries sustained in the collision, the suspect was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Ripon Detectives will be forwarding felony charges against this suspect to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office for review.
