Police Volunteers Need Your Help

Police Volunteers Need Your Help

The Ripon Police Department,  Volunteers In Police Service (VIPS) donate hundreds of hours each year to help keep Ripon safe. VIPS are often seen patrolling the parking lots at football games, patrolling the downtown business district, patrolling our neighborhoods and keeping watch over our children as they make their way to and from school.
The VIPS assist with National Night Out, the Almond Blossom Festival, the Fourth of July celebrations, DUI check points, road closures and a number of emergency and non-emergency issues that arise during the year.
The VIPS truly make our city a safer place to live and work. The VIPS give and give all year long. Now they need your help.
The Volunteers In Police Service (VIPS) need to replace their aging 20 year old van with a newer, more reliable vehicle. If anyone would like to donate a low mileage van, SUV, pickup or other vehicle to the volunteers, please contact VIPS President Rich Searcy at 209-599-0266. Your donation will help assist the Ripon Police Department Volunteers and you will be helping to keep Ripon safe.
