Our Department is committed to maintaining the “Quality of Life” in our community through our policing philosophy, programs, and the many dedicated personnel who make up the Ripon Police Department. Our Community-Oriented Policing and Problem Solving (COPPS) philosophy is truly practiced by the Ripon Police Department. Our Department Mission Statement reflects the care and concern we have and we strongly believe in close partnerships and working relationships to strengthen our community. Additionally, we understand that our most important resource is the youth of our community. Therefore, we offer programs such as D.A.R.E., School Resource Officer (SRO) Program, Junior Police Academy (JPA), Youth Traffic Safety Programs and the School R.O.P. Program Furthermore, the Department offers such important community programs as the Neighborhood Watch Program, Ripon Volunteers in Police Services (VIPS) Program and a Police Chaplain Program. Our Department is truly dedicated to serving and making the City of Ripon a safer place to live, raise our children, and be actively involved in the community. After reviewing our Web Site, please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, wish further information and/or are in need. of assistance. Sincerely, Richard A. Bull
