Chief of Police, Richard A. BullAs the Chief of Police, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the City of Ripon Police Department's Web Site.  The Ripon Police Department is a full-service Department which includes Police Services, Traffic Safety Services, Community Services, Youth Services, Animal Services, Parking Control Services, and E-9-1-1 Telecommunications and Dispatch Services.

Our Department is committed to maintaining the “Quality of Life” in our community through our policing philosophy, programs, and the many dedicated personnel who make up the Ripon Police Department.

Our Community-Oriented Policing and Problem Solving (COPPS) philosophy is truly practiced by the Ripon Police Department.  Our Department Mission Statement reflects the care and concern we have and we strongly believe in close partnerships and working relationships to strengthen our community.

Additionally, we understand that our most important resource is the youth of our community. Therefore, we offer programs such as D.A.R.E., School Resource Officer (SRO) Program, Junior Police Academy (JPA), Youth Traffic Safety Programs and the School R.O.P. Program 

Furthermore, the Department offers such important community programs as the Neighborhood Watch Program, Ripon Volunteers in Police Services (VIPS) Program and a Police Chaplain Program.

Our Department is truly dedicated to serving and making the City of Ripon a safer place to live, raise our children, and be actively involved in the community.
