The Ripon Police Department Investigative Unit is made up of Detective(s) who handle all crimes against people and property crimes. The Detective(s) are also responsible for street crimes, which may involve gangs and/or narcotics.
The Investigative Unit is driven by the basic philosophy of conducting initial and follow up investigations for crimes occurring within our jurisdiction. Detectives will proceed with due diligence in evaluating and preparing cases for appropriate clearance or presentation to a prosecutor for filing of criminal charges.
Our department believes that through a proactive and responsive community partnership, the Investigative Unit will be able solve current crimes and prevent future crimes from occurring through aggressive, intense, and thorough investigations.
