Junior Police Academy
The JPA program has been well received with the City's resident youth and has expanded every year. Designed to expose Ripon youth to law enforcement career options, the classes run during the summer months, and give students a chance to explore the career opportunities in a "hands-on" environment.
Explorers
The Ripon Police Department, in conjunction with The Boy Scouts of America, provides an opportunity for young men and women to experience, first hand, how a police department functions. Explorers are trained in various aspects of law enforcement and used to assist police personnel. The Explorers are required to volunteer 16 hours a month, along with three major functions in the City of Ripon; Almond Blossom Festival, Fourth of July, National Night Out, and Main Street Day.
Regional Occupational Program
The Regional Occupational Program – Careers in Law Enforcement Course
is being offered by the Ripon Police Department, in cooperation with the
Ripon Unified School District and Ripon High School, to 11th and 12th grade
students attending Ripon High School. The course is designed to provide
information to students regarding various careers in law enforcement.

The Ripon Police Department is open 24 hours a day, and is located at 259 N. Wilma Ave, next to the Town Square Shopping Plaza.
