LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTINGThe Ripon Police Department provides LiveScan fingerprinting service to the public. |
LiveScan services are available Monday – Friday, by appointment only. Please call (209)599-0257 to schedule your appointment.
Before you can be fingerprinted, you must provide the following required materials:
- A LiveScan form provided by your employer/licensing board/organization requesting you get LiveScanned
- A Government-issued form of photo identification
- Payment (see acceptable forms of payment below)
Fees
The Ripon Police Department charges a fee of $20.00. This fee pays for the fingerprinting services provided by the Ripon Police Department. If the form given to you by the employer/licensing board/organization has a completed Billing Number listed on the form, only the $20.00 fee will be due. If the form does not have a valid billing number, you will be responsible for the fees, which can vary widely based upon the level of service requested, (DOJ, FBI, or CHILD as indicated on the form) and the AORI assigned to the requesting employer/licensing board/organization. Acceptable forms of Payment
Acceptable forms of payment include Cash, Credit Card (3% with a $2.00 minimum), Money Order, or Cashier’s Check ONLY (make checks payable to “City of Ripon.”) No personal checks will be accepted.

DOJ Live Scan
If you are an agency who conducts a background on your potential employees you will need to contact the Department of Justice to set up a LiveScan account. A fee applies for this service as well.
