Ripon Chamber of Commerce Officer of the Year

Each year, The Ripon Chamber of Commerce gives its Police Officer of the Year Award to a well-rounded law enforcement officer who has exceeded the duty requirements expected of his or her position and has demonstrated a distinct pattern of community service coupled with professional achievement. The award, which especially takes into account heroic acts, is presented annually at the Chamber Installation Dinner.

California DOJ 10851 Award

The CHP developed the 10851 Awards Program to recognize the superior efforts made by CHP and allied law enforcement personnel who have met specified criteria toward the reduction of stolen vehicle crimes.  The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and the California State Highway Association award 10851 pins to recognize officers’ superior efforts in the recovery of stolen vehicles and arrests for auto theft.  In a 12 month period, officers who meet the following criteria receive recognition:

  1. 6 (six) in custody stolen vehicle recoveries or 12 recoveries with a minimum of 3 (three) in custody,
  2. Development of information that results in the ID of an auto theft ring resulting in 2 (two) or more suspects,
  3. Recovery of 10 (ten) or more stolen vehicles.
